The production of apparatus, instruments and equipment cannot be imagined without the use of radio components. These components are responsible for the functionality, safety, reliability, and durability of devices. Their total number is tens of thousands of items. But there are nodes that are found in almost every technical tool.
The most common groups of radio components
Most often, in the manufacture of home, office, industrial electronic equipment, such nodes are used as:
- power devices, including diodes, thyristors, modules, thyristors, cooling components;
- separate and modular resistors;
- ceramic, film and other capacitor options;
- compact microcircuits;
- safety elements, inserts;
- fiber optic devices.
The purpose of such components is different. Some are responsible for the distribution of energy, while others prevent the negative effects of voltage surges on the components of devices.
Passive or active components: what is the difference
Existing radio components are classified into two broad groups: passive, active. The former are responsible for measuring indicators, energy storage, its dissipation, blocking interference, and ensuring effective stabilization. Their main types: semiconductor devices, electric lamps. Active components conduct impulses. Examples of such radio components are resistors and transformers, capacitors and induction coils.
Modern radio components are significantly different from outdated counterparts. They are smaller, often delivered in assemblies. This makes their application easier and faster. Quality depends directly on the materials used, accuracy of execution. In order to ensure the effective operation of the devices, reliable components must be used in their manufacture. These include licensed parts that have passed bench testing. Their quality is officially confirmed by certificates of conformity.
