The F17 code indicates that the drum does not receive enough water for the program to work or its dialing speed is below normal. Of course, the appearance of this error can signal a breakdown, but first, check the external factors that can also cause similar behavior.
Note that electromechanical models that do not display error codes signal a similar problem in a different way: they rinse or flash rinse lamps and the maximum number of revolutions (1000 or 800):
Where to begin?
- Make sure that water enters the machine. So, check that the tap for its supply is open, the water supply is working, the pressure in the pipes is sufficient (note that the minimum pressure for the correct operation of the Bosch washing machine is 1 atm.);
- Clean the filters that are installed on the water inlet and outlet.
How to clean Bosch filters?
- Disconnect the device from the network;
- Shut off the water that goes to the machine;
- Unscrew the hose at the point of connection with the plumbing system;
- Carefully drain the water if one remains in the hose;
- Remove the mesh installed on the end of the hose and rinse it under good pressure. Then reinstall both her and the hose itself;
- Repeat the above steps for the second end - at the place where it connects to the machine;
- Check and, if necessary, wash out the filter that is installed on the drain.
If the inspection and cleaning did not give the desired result, then repair is inevitable. In most cases, you will manage to replace the pressure sensor in the drum - a pressostat, but it may also require a flashing of the control board.
