If the Bosch washing machine shows error F23, then the Aquastop system has worked. A similar situation is indicated by simultaneously lit lamps to indicate revolutions (everything except 900 or 700 depending on the model of your machine) and rinse mode:
Aquastop is a special mechanism that shuts off the water supply in cases of potential leakage. It can turn on if:
- Water flows from the drum into the pan. A light float is installed on the pallet, which rises at the slightest overflow. It is the signal from the float that triggers the protective system;
- The inlet hoses are damaged or cracks are present at the attachment points;
- The powder dispenser is not installed correctly;
- Some of the connectors are loose.
It is also possible that the mechanism itself fails due to problems with the control unit of the machine. In this case, there is no leakage, but Aquastop still works. The case is quite rare and requires replacement or flashing of the control module.
How to fix the problem yourself?
In order to disable “Aquastop” and get rid of the F23 code on the display, you need to eliminate the factors that provoked the lock. Check drip tray, hoses, water supply and powder dispenser for leaks. If you do not see any damage, try restarting the washing machine. If a leak is found, replace the defective part to avoid a similar situation in the future.
