F38 indicates a short in the temperature sensor (NTC). If one appeared on the display of your washing machine, most likely you will not be able to turn on any program, and if the process has already been started, it will probably be interrupted with this error.
The temperature sensor serves to record the current degree of water heating and to signal the control board when the temperature has reached the level required for the washing program. A short circuit in the network will interrupt its correct operation.
What causes the F38 code?
There may be several reasons for this error:
- The most obvious source of problems is the temperature sensor. If F38 or F37 appears not the first time, everything indicates a breakdown;
- Failures of the control module of the washing machine also lead to the described error;
- Uneven mains voltage can be the root cause of malfunctions. We recommend putting a stabilizer on the entire wiring of electricity in the apartment, since power surges adversely affect any equipment.
We also recommend reading about proper reboot of the dishwasher.
How to fix the error?
The first thing to do is disconnect the machine from the mains. Wait a quarter of an hour, and then try turning it on again. If the code is missing, then everything indicates a failure in the electronics or control board. Does this happen often? Then consult a specialist. A faulty control module causes a wide variety of troubles, it is categorically not recommended to put up with this.
If, after a reboot, the code still lights up on the display, it will not work to delay the repair. In this case, you need to determine what caused the problem - the temperature sensor itself or a malfunction in the control board. Replacing one or both components will restore the functionality of your machine.
