If the machine does not start washing, and F61 appears on the display, it means that the control board did not receive a signal that the hatch door is closed. While the washing machine “thinks” that the tank is not blocked, not a single program starts to protect you from the possible leakage of water to the floor. But there are times when the code appears erroneously, and the hatch itself is securely locked.
What to do first?
To fix the error, try the following:
- Make sure that the sunroof is really tightly locked. Do not make too much effort closing the door, but still you must hear a specific click before starting the program;
- Turn the machine off and on again by pressing the ON / OFF button;
- Reboot the control module. To do this, turn off the washing machine for a while - at least a quarter of an hour. After a reboot, plug it into the network and try to start any kind of washing.
What needs to be repaired?
If the simple manipulations described above did not help to reset the error, then it is time to contact a specialist. Code F61 may indicate one of the following problems:
- The device that is responsible for blocking the hatch door has broken, or the wiring that powers it is damaged;
- The motherboard is messing up. Other errors can also signal this, so if your washing machine has often crashed recently, everything indicates a control board.
