Unfortunately, very often keys and remotes that can open Coca Cola type store refrigerators are very often lost and lost. There can be many reasons: at rush hour, when there are many visitors, due to fuss or congestion, the key can be lost or accidentally thrown away. In addition, they can simply steal it. How to open a Coca-Cola or Pepsi-Cola refrigerator without a remote control is, unfortunately, a fairly common question.
Nevertheless, the refrigerator needs to be opened somehow, and as a rule, there is not enough time to search or call special services.
This article aims to find the right solutions for emergency opening locks. We, by no means, teach you to steal drinks and hack someone else's property. To understand how to open such a refrigerator, we consider two ways: mechanical and electric.
Method 1. Mechanical, using a paper clip or thick wire
A paper clip or a thick wire must be bent as follows: on the one hand, there must be a full loop, on the other hand, a small piece of wire, which makes a right angle with the body of the product. The loop is needed to conveniently hold the "key", a hook for direct manipulation.
The material from which this hook is made should be strong enough and resistant to deformation and bending. The loop should feel “confident”, do not bend under the action of the seal.
After that, a clip (eyelet, hook) should be inserted between the seal and the door, in the place of the lock. This should be done forward with the part that is a right angle.
Then wire should pry the lock spring. The spring is placed perpendicular to the plane of the door. It is at this stage that difficulties often arise - the hook slides and “misses”. That is why the length of the hook should not exceed the length of the spring, otherwise the hook simply will not crawl there.
As a rule, it is possible to pry off a spring from the second or fifth time even to those who open the lock for the first time.
In order to compress the spring as efficiently as possible, and accordingly open the lock, insert the hook deep into the groove and pull the spring towards you.
The second way. Electric using wiring
Consider a way to open a refrigerator without a remote control or key using the manipulation of wiring. Conventionally, the electromechanical method of opening a refrigerator can be divided into two methods: for Coca-Cola refrigerators and for Pepsi-Cola devices. As you know, they are arranged somewhat differently, but they work the same way.
In Coca-Cola refrigerators, the lock relay wiring is located below (under the doors). It looks different in all models, however, in almost all models there is a place to be such a connector:
Yellow and green wires are the earth, brown is the power wire (220 V power supply). Blue and black are already closed. If you close the contacts of the two brown wires, then the reverse current is supplied to the lock and it should open.
In Pepsi-Cola refrigerators, this part of the wiring may be located at the rear, near the engine.
Two things to remember:
- Almost all of the above wires send voltage of 220V, so you should only close the contacts when the refrigerator is turned off from the wall outlet. If the refrigerator must remain on, dielectric gloves must be used.
- By accidentally mixing up the wires, the compressor may be damaged. Errors during manipulations with the wiring of the refrigerator very often disable the entire device.
Summing up, we note that there are other ways to open refrigerators: a powerful electromagnet, a special universal key, etc. However, the most reliable will be to pre-create a copy of the key and store it in a safe place.
