Modern manufacturers offer increasingly advanced gas and electric models of cooking surfaces. As a result, there is a need to replace a failed panel with a new, more modernized one. To do this, dismantle the old surface. Having certain skills in the field of electrical engineering and gasification, installation can be done with your own hands.
Disconnecting the necessary communications of the hob for dismantling
In order to dismantle the Hansa gas panel equipment, it is necessary to carry out a series of manipulations with gas supply shutoff valves. If gas is supplied from underground or external gas distribution networks, the ball valve at the entrance to the living room is closed.
In the absence of access to the gas valve, an application is submitted to a specialized gas service for the suspension of fuel supply.
When using a gas supply system (propane, butane, isobutane), turn the valve to the “Closed” position. Then unscrew the gas hose from the panel in order to avoid the appearance of statistical stress, install an equalizing jumper between the panel and the gas supply hose.
Dismantling the Bosch electrical induction surface requires more careful adherence to safety regulations. Disconnect the panel from the power supply by unplugging the plug. Then, using the “Network” indicator, make sure that the signal lamp is off, this means that the equipment is completely de-energized.
Mechanical dismantling: rules and technology
A set of necessary tools for dismantling:
- screwdriver "+";
- pliers;
- side cutters;
- wrench 8 * 10;
- gas key.
First of all, we loosen the surface screwdriver with the countertop of the kitchen module with a screwdriver. If the wire is laid stationary (for electrical panels), the terminal box is disassembled and the power wires are disconnected. The ground conductor from the device case is disconnected last.
Then the fixing screws are completely unscrewed and removed from the countertop. Dismantling the hob is considered complete.
Dismantling the gas hob structure is similar. In order to stop the supply of natural gas to the surface, it is necessary to close the entire valve, visually make sure that the handles of the taps and valves are in the “closed” position. Then loosen the clamp and install the standard plug on the hose.
Proper removal of the hob
So how to remove the hob from the countertop? In order to properly remove the gas surface, it is worth considering the entire process in detail:
- the first thing you need to find centering screws that hold the entire structure;
- then screws are unscrewed on the centering screws;
- then you need to find the corner mounting hooks. Screws are twisted onto them, but the main thing is not to the end, they must remain in place;
- the hooks will be loosened, so the product can be easily pulled out through the hole in the countertop;
- after the structure is removed, you can proceed with the installation of another new device. If it has not yet been selected, then it is worth choosing it correctly;
- if you have already purchased a new hob, and it does not fit the dimensions of the holes in the table, then a new one is cut out with a file;
- then another panel is mounted in place in the countertop.
Safety measures for dismantling heating surfaces
When removing the hob, be sure to do everything correctly. During this process, you must follow the security measures from the list below:
- operation of the built-in electric appliance provides only for the preparation and heating of food;
- it is forbidden to use the induction panel for defrosting and cooking products packaged in metallized packaging;
- full protection against contact with live parts is ensured by compliance with current electrical safety standards;
- if the device does not work correctly or works with deviations from the set parameters by the factory instructions, contact the service center;
- if cracks, chips, cracks have appeared on your hob, you must disconnect the device from electricity to avoid electric shock;
- during cooking, dishes and burners become very hot, it is necessary to limit access to the device of young children and ensure complete safety against thermal and electric burns;
- It is strictly forbidden to contact the electric cable with the hob;
- it is not recommended to put on the surface of the cooking structure any flammable and combustible materials, this can lead to fire;
- it is also forbidden to eliminate blockages and pollution with alcohol-containing liquids;
- Independent repair of equipment is prohibited either by persons who do not have a special license to perform this type of work.
In what cases is the built-in hob removed?
The built-in panel is usually removed in the following cases:
- The gas burner or low flame does not burn - the reason is insufficient oxygen supply or an excess of carbon. It is eliminated by disassembling the burner unit, the air ducts are cleaned, which provide the flame with a sufficient supply of oxygen;
- The flame ignites and immediately goes out - if a balloon gas supply system is used, the reason should be sought in the reduction thread, since the pressure of natural gas is an order of magnitude lower than in the Ballon system. To eliminate this malfunction, it is necessary with the help of a bench tool - a screwdriver - turn the regulator clockwise on the cylinder reducer by one division;
- The ignition unit does not respond to a soft start - a control board malfunction, there may be a reason for a malfunction of the starting capacitor, the capacity of which should be 50-100 Rf. Replacing it must be done by a service representative.
Dismantling the built-in hob is not difficult. In the case of a gas hob structure, it is extremely difficult to do without attracting qualified personnel, because all safety measures of SNiP, PPB and electrical safety rules must be followed.
